CNN News Today is Friday May 19th 2017 on my friends on this day in 2006 The DaVinci Code movie premiered still on sale for $20 in the office in for the penny wars and the great one with 8th grade and second and the freshman and third we raised a total of 211 play the $0.35 receive their prize of cupcakes and soda sometime before the end of the school year since of a lot of sugar and there is no lunch for today but until next week this is as patent or signing off hope you have a great Friday and here's the video that the ninth grade entered into the kstl next K-State welcome to the special edition of the pen news I want more today we were talking about why more and more kids are going to middle schools and high schools instead of Junior High's like patent with some alarm hello I'm here to report some concerning data I found by the decline of Junior High's Across the Nation according to the National Center for recent statistics in the last 46 years the number of junior high schools across the United States has decreased by 63.4% in 1967 there was 7437 Junior High they were 2719 the number middle since 1970 has increased by 540% Back in 1970 there were only 2080 middle school and are the four years ago and and they were 13322 the amount of high schools have also increased but not by the same startling amount of middle schools 67 there were 10751 high schools Across the Nation in 2013 there was a whopping 16937 because we come from a military school students from a background interview student School going to a high school your freshman year there's definitely a lot more opportunities you have the chance to take AP classes and join more Sports without having conflicting while being at the junior high there do you have a higher skill level throughout all your Athletics and your classroom activities what's the difference between the team I guess I don't have to say what time in junior high in San worth it going to a junior high that's on base just even one in the entire state is it really mean  if I like military kids and you've been in military kids your entire life most likely and you really feel can you get to experience a lot and experience a locked at the people some of the  staffline programs aren't as advanced as an I guess you can say our regular Junior High because it is fine as a smaller Junior High than most so I know really that's what I think that's that's great for me cuz I and then the classes are really small to because even though it's a great school I feel like the high school offers more opportunities in your life it has more social groups in change online has more classes and you can just sort structure your whole life out of there I want to get an early start to the no I want to go to Leavenworth because I'm an honor student and they offered more classes and the sports that I wanted to play rather than staying here because my older brother my sister went to Leavenworth I feel it's just try to go to Leavenworth I don't spend a lot of time with her at home so we're actually going to the high school I think I only have a handful of friends that stay here so I wanted to be with them and be able to have the opportunity play sports with them and have classes with them because our principal mr. wiebe has been an administrator for several years and Arkansas he would have an interesting perspective on Junior High's pause Green Building Lexington Trails Middle School is a traditional Middle School 6 through 8th grade and then Patton junior high is of course in traditional Junior High of seven 9th grade students limit difference is here that I had any other school yes working directly with military families connected students quite different and behaviors are quite different lots more respect men's fashions from those families or parents are higher than normal on typical student from their parent yellow shoes are spinach and roll for the 9th grade year in the fall of 2018 they will all have to make the same decision high school or Junior High
