On Tuesday, January 21st, we launched our latest class project-the solar system. Students have been placed into groups and for the next few weeks will be working together in class constructing scale models of our solar system. With this being said, they may need certain items from home to use in order to assist them in completing their projects. Thank you in advance for all who are willing to assist their students in this endeavor so that they can present the best project possible! The completed projects are due on Thursday, February 6th and will be presented in class.

We began a unit on volcanoes today, and students were assigned a project that will be a Google slide presentation detailing why humans have lived and farmed near volcanoes historically. All of this week we have been discussing various biomes located on Earth. Students have been placed into small groups to research, discuss, and build a 3-D model of their biome. Class time has been awarded to complete the projects every day this week, but some students may need to collaborate with their peers over the weekend to ensure that their project is complete. We will be presenting these in class when they are due which is Monday, September 23rd. The rubric is attached.
