Graphic Comic Writing Activity
Retell your own version of the myth of Icarus in the form of a graphic comic. In this kind of text, both verbal and visual elements work together.
- Redo the text of the myth in your own words.
- Try to keep any character speeches or descriptions as brief as possible.
- Make sure that words don't crowd the art space.
- Plan how your characters will look. Use any descriptions you find in the text version of the myth to help you.
- Do a rough sketch of your ideas before creating finished pages.
Your comic should be 4 panels (image boxes) in length and portray the message of the myth. Comics may be created digitally using Google Slides or drawn/colored on sketch paper.
