7th Grade Art

Art Curriculum
The curriculum for Art will be based on Discipline Based Art Education, which means lessons will incorporate the four disciplines of Art: Aesthetics, Production, Art Criticism and Art History. Students will acquire information about the foundations of art: elements of art and principles of design.
Art Projects
Students will participate in a variety of projects such as painting, drawing, sculpture, clay, printing, and collage. Students will work with a variety of material such as watercolor, tempera paint, color pencils, oil pastels, markers, found objects, clay, and computers.
Skills Gained
Students will gain skills in the art room which will transfer to other classes and other areas of their life. Students will gain problem solving, organizational and time management skills.
