About Me
This will be my 18th year teaching 6th grade, but my first year at Patton Jr. High School. I teach Math, and ELA in my homeroom and will be the primary social studies teacher for my class and one other. I love helping students learn and grow their confidence and leadership skills. I have two grown sons. My oldest attended KU and graduated with a linguistics degree. In addition to English, he speaks Spanish, French, Japanese, and Miskito. My youngest attended culinary school and is a chef. I personally enjoy reading, travel, and spending time with my family. Of course, I truly enjoy teaching as well. My goal this year, as with every year, is to create a safe and engaging environment that enables all students to learn at the highest level and truly have fun in the process.
