A Bit About Me

In August of 1992, I walked into my first classroom at Peebles Elementary School in Killeen, Texas. I worked for the Killeen Independent School District until May of 2001. During my time with the district, I taught both fourth and fifth grade in the general education classroom, the talented and gifted classroom, and served as the writing coach for our school. From January 2002 - May 2004, I taught in Hinesville, Georgia. My time with the Hinesville School District included teaching 5th grade, Kindergarten, and serving as the Curriculum Coordinator for Button Gwinnett Elementary. From August of 2008 through May 2010, I taught Special Education for Muscogee County Schools in Columbus, Georgia. I returned to teaching in August of 2014, at which time I taught Special Education at Pleasant Ridge High School for two years. Finally, I started teaching for Fort Leavenworth Schools in 2016 and truly enjoy being part of a fantastic team.

My husband, Matt, and I married in February of 1999. He retired from the Army in 2018 and currently works for Northrop-Grumman. We have four children; Joshua - 23, Jadan - 20, Angel - 17, and Ashley - 17.

In my free time, I enjoy teaching group fitness classes, cycling, and attempting to play golf.
