Hi! I am Alison Miller. I taught a variety of traditional art classes, digital art, and yearbook at the high school level for seven years before joining Patton Junior High School during the 2023-24 school year. I very much enjoy being at Patton, and I can't wait to grow my career here! I love connecting with students in meaningful ways and encouraging them to achieve their own creative AHA! moments through producing, analyzing and reflecting on art. I enjoy reading, listening to podcasts, writing, and making things. I grew up in a small town outside of Kansas City, MO, where I currently live with my puppet-making/puppeteering partner Justin and our rescue dog Sunny. My goals include writing/illustrating children's books with my mom and sister, returning to my favorite city in the world Montreal, and sharing my artwork with more people. If I am not at home, I am probably hanging out with my nieces and nephew.
