Description
Spanish 1 is a year long course.
Students will learn the first 1,000 vocabulary words.
Students will learn verb tenses including the present, preterite, and command forms.
Students will have homework in this class. Evaluations will include tests, quizzes and projects. 
Students have been given their login information for their online textbook.
The site can be reached in two ways: go.hrw.com or my.hrw.com. Students will select World Languages, then choose the red ¡Exprésate! book to log on. Students will be able to practice, read, watch short video clips, hear native speakers, review and do enrichment activities.

Spanish 1 students began a project using their skills with the Spanish verb SER, asking good questions and answering them (in Spanish). Each student is to make a cartoon strip using ten frames. In each frame, there needs to be a question and an answer. These must make sense, be accurate, and be appropriately illustrated. Students may use photos, clip art, or cut out pictures from magazines. 
This project is due on Friday, 9/9. Students should be able to complete this in class.
