Description
Science for 7th graders is to help students understand the nature of scientific knowledge. This course splits the Next Generation Science Standards into 5 units.  The first focuses on cells & body systems, the second on growth & reproduction. The third focuses on the transfer of energy & matter between Earth’s systems, while the fourth applies this understanding of energy & matter transfer to a study of climate diversity on the Earth.  The fifth unit focuses on gravity & the Earth’s place in the solar system. Units will include hands-on activities, experiments, labs, student collaboration, class presentations & individual work.
