About me

Welcome! My name is Katie Payne. I teach 6th Grade here at Patton Junior High.  This is my 8th year of teaching and my 12th year in the education field. I am thrilled to be back in the classroom in USD 207.

I grew up in South Carolina and graduated from College of Charleston with a B.S. in Elementary Education. I earned an M.S. in Educational Technology from Troy University. I have taught 4th and 5th grade in the past.

My husband and I have been married for 25 years and we have three daughters. As a former military spouse, I understand the unique struggles and successes the children of USD 207 go through. Creating a family atmosphere and a safe space for them to quickly jump into is top priority for me.
