The US Constitution Handbook worksheet is due tomorrow.  Students were given time in class last week and today to read the Constitution Handbook, p.214-223, and complete the worksheet (24 questions) Several students are finishing the assignment before the end of class.  Attached is a copy of the worksheet.

The students were assigned the Checks and Balances worksheet in class yesterday.  They were given an additional 15 minutes in class today to complete the assignment.  They have been told that what is not completed will be for homework.  It is due tomorrow.  I am attaching the worksheet in case it gets lost on the way home. :)  Also, a reminder to students that p.216-217 in the textbook is a great resource.

The students have a choice of making a Quizlet or flash cards (with index cards) with the attached 20 US Constitution and Government Vocabulary words list.  They had class time yesterday and will most likely receive more time tomorrow or on Monday.  If they chose to set up a Quizlet, they know to share it with me.  There is an excellent resource on Google Drive in the 8th Grade American History folder that I shared with them.  It is entitled, "Vocabulary - Civics".  It is a mini dictionary that I constructed and that Mr. Phillips contributed to last year.  This is due on Tuesday.  The graded quiz is scheduled for the week of 10 September.

Students were given the Constitution IQ worksheet yesterday.  They were given class time yesterday and today to complete the assignment.  If they do not finish, they have been informed that it is homework.  We will discuss and correct the worksheet in class on Monday.  I have attached the worksheet just in case it gets lost on the way home.  Most of the students have completed the worksheet.  There are just a few that need a little more time.
